Hi all,
I think it would be interesting to talk about our professional outfit. And tell a little bit about the background. I'll go first I have been working in my office for about 1 year, and since my job is in a national news magazine, as a graphic designer, nice t-shirt or blouse with a jean and a nice flat-open-shoes is suitable enough for me. I don't need to see new people everyday. And I'm the ONLY female designer in my department. It always 'aw' me when I met my girlfriends after work and they saw them wearing an office-lady like outfit. Maybe I need to try a skirt sometimes... How about you? |

I go to school. It's a public mixed high school and i'm in my final year there. After high school i plan to go to a private college maybe and then uni. The teachiing standards at my school are preety good, although i do have a few teachers who i do not learn from. Sephire, your job sounds interesting? Do you have fun doing it?

I work in an office, I'm the title clerk at an automobile dearship. Fortunately, it's a family-owned business rather than a large corporation, so there's some freedom in our dress code. Us "office girls" (there's 4 of us plus the receptionist) can wear anything that's nice or office-casual. For us, that's typically a nice shirt and pants or a skirt and blouse combination or a dress. We don't need to wear business suits or high heels (although a couple of us like high heels and wear them often!) On Friday we can wear jeans (as long as they're nice and clean and all that, we still want to look office-appropriate). LOL

I'm a Banker and work as an Investment Mgr. I meet clients all the time and those are the customers who contribute in making 80% of the profits of the Bank. I have to do presentations to teams of bank staff and also to individual customers or investors regarding potential investment opportunities. I have to look smart all the time with neat hair etc etc as at no given time I can look a mess or else my clients will not take me seriously
![]() Stripped pants, nice shirts, jackets and polished shoes looking like I've just purchased them is what I wear to work. If I'm going to work on a day-off then I wear simple jeans with a comfortable T-shirt or a blouse as strictly I will not attend any meetings or see clients on such days.

Hi bubblegum, I hope you're doing good. Yes I have a lot of fun here. My work enviroment is cool.
Hey, madeupgirl, can you give me some tips to make outfits look long-lasting? My shirt looks dull after 2-3 detergent wash. And I have to wash my laundry almost everyday since I live in tropical climate (hot and sweaty)... and wow your work outfit sounds cool! I want to have a smart look sometimes ![]() It's interesting to hear how's everybody have different dress code ![]() |

Hi Sephire, Don't laugh, but my secret is that I hand wash my shirts and give it to the Laundry only to press it. That way it's less expensive and looks almost new for a very long time...also when pressed at the Laundry, it has that 'just purchased' look. When machine washed, clothes start looking dull and faded within a matter of weeks... Hope this helps... ![]()

I'm a computer programmer and my work environment is very casual. I can wear a t-shirt, jeans, and sneakers to work if I wanted to!
The team I'm on is me and 3 guys. lol So I don't have a ton of motivation to dress up for work (happily married here). However, I'm trying to change and look nicer at work. A nicer jean, nice top and accessories. Plus I NEED to get better shoes. I'm terrible at finding a "comfy" shoe that might be ugly and wearing it every-single-day. |

I'm very lucky, I work in sales and most of the time I work from my home office, at least 3 of the 5 days in the week. I sometime wear skirts, dresses, shorts or Capri's. Sometime I never change out of my nightgown. Depends on the mood I'm in.
