Sometimes in general what people would think about their parents. I surely do.In my opinion the way my life was dealt was and is still crazy. For an ex. my relationship between my family is like love and hate relationship. When I tried to help my family out in any kind of a sticky situation I get backstabbed in a nice way of saying it.It's like no matter what or how I try to please my parents it's like it's never good enough or never get approved to their standereds.I't's like they look at me like I'm still their liltle kid, don't get me wrong I sort of understand how they feel but let it go already .Sometimes they have double standards about my life .It's like the way my parents always try to run my life ,they don't really even take any kind of advices from me .In one hand my mother has no problem of communicating but on the other hand my father have a major issues of communicating with me or with any of my brothers and my sister. What can I do?It's a really sticky situation. |

This IS a sticky situation. I am sorry you are having family trouble. You are not alone, many families.... perhaps the majority of families do.
Sometimes the only thing we can do is accept people for who they are....like it or not. Perhaps you could kindly remind them of that. A very wise older gentleman once told me that being a parent is a tough job and once you figure out how to do it....it is too late.

I really understand what you are saying, but I have found some families just never grow out of the problems and carry it with them for life. The only thing I can add is that through trial and tribulation you will be a much more caring person and will grow past this part of your life.
