I found this on the net for a natural alternative to shampoo. Aparently shampoos can have lots of chemicals and damage your hair in the long run.
Get some borax from the grocery store and some powdered citric acid. When your in the shower put a little borax in a cup(1 to 2 tsp.)and fill it with water until it dissolves. Massage this into you hair for a minute or so. Do this about 2 or 3 times. Next, take a tsp. of citric acid in a cup of water a pour it over your hair and let it sit for a minute. When you first start doing this your hair may feel a little dirty and difficult to manage but this is from product buildup thats coming out. Eventually it will work and your hair will feel soft and clean but it will take a few months. You can also use the borax for all your laundry and cleaning needs and its perfectly safe and very cheap. I have never tried it personally - love to know how it works if you try it though!

It may work for natural blonds but borax is a dry form of bleach, preceed with caution

It could be quite drying, it is like people used to wash there hair with tide if they didn't like a color job. Talk about harsh on hair.
There are alot of shampoo made for blonde hair to clarify the color and I think you would be much safer that way.
