Default Curly/Wavy hair

Last week when i was in Egypt, i washed my hair and then let it naturally dry in the sun as it was 42 degrees outside. It went reeeeally nice and curly/wavy. But when i got back to England, i treid washing my hair and leaving it to dry outside but it didnt work. My hair just went flat! Is there any way that i can get my hair back like that again without using hair tongs and heated intruments like those?

It could have been the water or the humidy. See if you can remember was the water hard or soft. Was the weather high in humidity let me know

ah, wavy/curly hair is fickle!! One day it behaves nicely, the next it refuses.
I agree that the humidity probably had an effect.

If I let mine (which is naturally wavy) dry naturally, it's very fickle. Some days it curls more, some days it's limp as a wet noodle. And when the humidity is very high or when it rains, it gets very frizzy.
These days I'm usually blow drying it, since I've cut it back to just-below-shoulder length, but my hair is very thick, and I used to have it very long, almost waist length. I NEVER blowdried it then, it simply wasn't possible since it took about an hour to blow dry. Left hanging loose, it would dry in about 3 hours. If I ponytailed, braided, or put it up in a bun or other updo while it was wet, it would still be wet when I took it down at bedtime. It was a lot of hair! Almost too much, really. That's why I cut it.

you live in london, don't you? I'm pretty sure thats a hard water area, so try washing your hair with filtered water so as there is not so much limescale. even if this doesn't help the wavy problem, it will generally improve the condition of your hair

When i went to spain my hair was in ringlets. So i'm guessing its the water which is making it go like this. However, i read that washing your hair with hard water is bad for your hair as it has minerals in it and it picks up chalk, lime, mostly calcium and magnesium.
