Default Hair sprays! do they damage the hair?

Hi everyone;

Do hair sprays damage your hair?
I never use them but a couple of days ago I used hair styling spray and really loved the result but I'm not sure if they damage the hair or not.
Is there a good one you could recommend?
Thanks

Well all the chemicals in traditional hair sprays can cause dryness and flakes. There are a few conditioning and all-natural ones that you could use.

Dove's hair products are moisturizing. http://www.dove.us/your_hair/hairspray.asp

fabulous

I think, so long as you wash your hair thouroughly, there should not be too much problem. but with frequent use, hair sprays can dry out hair, so I wouldn't use one on hair that is alreay dry (apart from ones that lynnlee suggested)

There are many hair sprays on the market which are specially made so that it does more good to your hair than harm. I had a hairspray (I FORGOT THE NAME! ) and that had vitamins in it and other good things in it so it kept your hair in good condition. When i remember the name, i'll tell you.
