Hey there
I have medium brown hair, and I am soooo sick of it! I really want to dye it, but I don't know what color and what sort of highlites to go for! I want to do a home kit, since I really don't have the funds for a salon job. I have really fair skin too, with pink undertones, if that helps. Oh and btw, I want to go lighter preferably.Thank you!!! ![]()

If you want to go lighter, an at home kit probably wont do it. If you have brown hair, you could always go reddish. Obviously dont go black, because it will look like you are sick. I would personally go for a nice looking red.

I'm not a big fan of red, but what about a kind of dark blonde/light red?

I have naturally pretty dark hair. All the at home kits i used to lighten it never worked very well. Now I go get my hair done (my next door neighbour is a hair dresser, and charges me like 40$ for red and blonde highlights, and then i get my underneath dyed purplish/black. but we are friends).
You could try a kit, i just dont know how well it would actually work.

with home permant dyes the rule of thumb is you can only go two shades lighter that orginal color and same applies if your going darker. If you want to go any lighter, I do not advice home bleaching it can ruin your hair, go to a professional
