Unhappy Hair problem

I have heard that washing your hair daily makes em weak. but if i don't wash my hair daily, they become oily and i have a headache. the other thing is that when i had a hair cut, the lady washed my hair and style em and they were smelling so good through out the day. but when i wash my hair, after sometime they are without any smell. and when i go in the sun, they smell like as if they have been burnt. as i am a college student, i have to go out in the sun. and it annoys me. i have tried hair freshner, it doesnt do anything. please help

for the oily-ness, you could try a shampoo targeted for your hair.
- my friend has tried and had great success with sunsilk - fresh for longer shampoo. Have a look at this website for some tips as well.

Also try to avoid any products with alchol in them, or sulfades. What these do is strip you hair and so you scalp mass produces oil to conteract the stripping so you go on this on going battle and you never win. This same thing applies to your skin. I will look it up and find what you should have in a shampoo for oily hair and I will get back to you

I have listed two here one you can make yourself and the other Is from Lush and it has people who have the same problems saying this was a godsend.
Let me know If you have any other question or maybe need more product info.

Oily hair shampoo
Ingredients
• 2 tablespoons of dried peppermint
• 2 tablespoons of dried spearmint
• 1 tablespoon of dried sage
• 1 cup of water
• 2/3 cup of baby shampoo
Preparation
Combine all the herbs and water and bring them to a boil in a saucepan.
Let them steep for 20 to 25 minutes and then strain them.
Mix the remaining water with baby shampoo.
Spearmint and peppermint have a cleansing property but they are also a great way to invigorate the scalp and increase the overall circulation in the area.
Baby shampoo is mild and neutral enough to cleanse the hair and the skin and not irritate it or make it greasy.
Glycerin oily hair conditioner
Ingredients
• 1/4 cup of glycerin
• 1/3 cup of hot water
• 2 tablespoons of liquid lecithin
• 1/4 of sage
• 1/4 cup of honey
• 2 tablespoons of dried buttermilk powder
Preparation
Combine hot water and sage and let it rest for 10 minutes.
Strain the liquid and remove sage.
Combine all ingredients and mix well.
Apply on the freshly shampooed hair and leave on for a few minutes.
Rinse well with warm water.
This recipe does two things:
It conditiones the hair with honey which is known as an antibacterial and cleansing agent. It also introduces glycerin which is used as an oil substitute as it is not as greasy as oils are but still has a strong nourishing property.

Shampoo from Lush

I Love Juicy is full of raw energy because it's made with our revolutionary, organic, enzymic kiwi, pineapple and papaya base. This has exceptionally deep cleansing powers and works sumptuously in hard water areas to give your hair a healthy shine. That's the fresh fruit bit; the jelly part of the shampoo comes from the carageenan seaweed which makes a soft gel to moisturise and soften, unlike other products for greasy hair. It smells fruitily of the above, plus mango, which is packed with vitamins and nutrients, and lemon and orange essential oils.

Hey,

I have a cousin who has the same problem. she uses head and shoulders on alternate days. Well how about using a herbal shampoo daily. If all the ingredients are natural it doesnt matter if you use them daily. I think herbal essense shampoos are good. First of all they are good for oily here if you choose the correct type secondly the water in the shampoo is natural spring water and the smell is great!!!
