Also rinsing your hair with cold one is good for closing the cuticle and bring the shine to one's hair.

I sometimes will use an egg after washing my hair. I have heard some people say use beer. But I never have.

Citre Shine works very well for me, and i know stylists that swear by it, and is affordable, there is a shampoo, a conditioner, and a serum..I don't know if i would recommend using all of them..depending on ur hair type...if it is normal and just needs a shine boost do the serum, and if it is very dry maybe try the whole shine regimen

This tip may be out of your comfort level, but it will prove the best shine. Don't wash your hair everyday. It means you can still take a shower, but wear a shower cap over your head. Wash your hair every other day. Dirty hair is much easier to work with.

There is also a product out there by "Got 2 B" its a shine spray. Has a nice smell, and it makes your hair very shiny, but not oily or greasy!

I also recommend the Beer shampoo. I love this shampoo, especially the peach scented beer shampoo

This has already been said, but it's so true, after washing your hair, rinse it with cold water. That seems to make it shine more.

Someone also mentioned Citre Shine. It's one of the best products to create shiny hair.

Try anyone of these tips....

Shiny Hair Tips- Make your hair shiny...home remedy for shiny hair
To give your hair a great shine and help remove soap builds up:

Slightly diluted vinegar is fantastic for shine. The easiest way to apply vinegar is in a spray bottle before shower. Then rinse out thoroughly.

Add a couple of tablespoons of lemon juice to your rinse water. (This one is my favourite. But if have the prob of frizzy hair, dont try it.)

Applying the milk to your hair and then rinsing with cool water. Next, rub an ice cube along the length of your strands, then comb.

Add a couple of tablespoons of apple cider vinegar to your rinse water.

Mash up an avocado with a tablespoon of olive oil and a tsp of baking powder. Mix until well combined and then work the mixture through your hair and then wash out.

Ingredients: 2 cups distilled water; 1/3 cup chopped fresh rosemary leaves - In small saucepan combine ingredients and bring to boil. Continue to boil 5 minutes. Let cool, and then pour into spray bottle. Keep refrigerated and mist on hair to add shine, tone scalp, or invigorate skin.

Mayonnaise is a great conditioner for dry hair. Depending on the length of your hair, apply approximately 1/2 cup of mayonnaise to your dry hair. Work into hair really well and then cover your hair with a plastic bag, allowing to set for about 15 minutes. Rinse thoroughly and then shampoo as usual.
