Default Hair color help

Ok I have had a lot of people tell me I should dye my hair a subtle color of red but I don't really understand what they mean and if you could, could you please tell me a celeb or link me to pic of the right color

I'm the one in the Iron Maiden shirt so you know what I look like and yeah

Also if you think that red isn't the way to go please tell me what color you would think would look good

With your skin undertone I would go for more of a bronze color with gold flecks your skin from the look of the picture as pink undertone and I can't see Red being the best color choice for you.
Go with a semi permanent color first to see if you like the shade (Like a golden Brown or Bronze light brown) Natural Instincts is the brand I would suggest it washes out in 24-26 shampoo, that way if you don't care for the color you know it will wash out and you can start anew.

In that pic I was about ready to die from heat and low blood sugar so that might be whats making me so pink I'm not usually that red lol

I'm thinking cool-toned reds like mahogany or plum would suit you well, although they aren't really subtle shades. Like Judi said, try it out with a semi-permanent color to see how you like it, then go for a permanent color if you decide to keep it.

I think the darker shade would work better for you than the lighter highlights she has. The highlights ar too orangey. Light cool skin tones (which I think you have) don't do well with a warmer shade of red like the orangey highlights. Of course, you have the advantage of being young enough to pull off a more dramatic look than an older person could, so that works in your favor.

OK...take it from a redhead....what you're going to want to do is find a dye that is a reddish brown or a light auburn what i would suggest is either Clairol natural instincts in desert sunset if you just want a temp to try it out. Or for a permanent dye try Revlon in light auburn. That would probably be your best bet w/ your skin tone.

That totally depends on what your natural hair color is, what you skin tone is, and what results you want. Do you want to go lighter or darker? Are you going to stay close to your natural color or are you looking for a more dramatic change? Are you looking for a semi-permanent color or a permanent color? And are you trying to cover over a previous chemical haircolor? There are a lot of factors to consider when choosing a hair color.
