Default Long Hair!

I am in my early 30's and have long hair half way down my back. My friends all have shorter shoulder length hair because they reckon that long hair looks silly on older women because it looks like they are trying to look young. I think long hair looks great at any age and I would just like to hear everybody elses opinions

Age has nothing to do with the length of your hair, its all about what is inside and thirty is far from old.
Its like everyone says when you get older your hair should be lighter. Or you makeup should be very subdued, I think if you feel good inside you can carry outside.

I second it, age has nothing to do with the length of your hair! I'm 39 and my hair is now waist / hip length. (light v-shape)
My grandma had long hair till she died.
You should wear your hair the way YOU like it.

well I being in my teens think that long hair can be pulled off at any age for certain women. depending on body, and face structure, even personality. as for others who dont pull it off that great should probally reconsider hair length in about their 40's. But thats my personal opinon.

I recently cut my mid-back length hair into a short trendy cut. I had the exact same fears you mentioned, I worried that my long hair made me look old. (I'm 39) So, I cut it.
Everyone told me how cute it was, and how trendy, and even "sassy"! I loved it for about a month. Then I just began to feel that I was trying too hard to look trendy! I felt more like myself when my hair was longer.
It was just more "me", you know?
So now I'll be growing back out because I like my hair natural; long, simple, classic and naturally wavy.

I agree! I think that most people should stick to what makes them happy though.

I love long hair and think it looks good at any age as long as its healthy and stylish. I think long hair makes some people look young. Dont worry about what your friends say, wear your hair the way you like it and how you feel comfortable wearing it!
