I have a great stylist who continues to try convince me that I was blessed with wavy hair. She does a great job of cutting and styling. I've learned to live with it. Isn't it amazing that people with straight hair want wavy or curly hair, and people with wavy or curly hair want it straight?

I've found a great trick to keep your curls is after washing, only pat dry..do not heavily towel dry. Use a good styling gel and "scrunch" your hair while drying with a diffuser attached to your blow dryer if using one. Don't apply direct blow dryer heat. If your blow dryer has a "cool" button use it when finishing your hair drying routine. The diffuser is an indespensible tool for curlys!

Good tips, smartdog.
I also read recently that if you use gel on curly hair, it will give you better results if you apply it just before you get out of the shower while your hair is still very wet. Haven't tried that yet, but plan to give it a go.

I'll have to try that with my flax seed gel recipe (using it before I get out of the shower)...Never thought of that one! Thanks blackbird668! I'll let you know how it turns out.
