Unhappy Am i going bald??

lately i've been having alot of hair fall out. usually i'd have about.... say 5-10 strands fall out after a shower, and when i brush my hair about 1-5 strands are on teh brush. now i've been having a large clump fall out after a shower, and after i brush my hair, it looks like my whole head is on the brush. is the shampoo? i dont think so cause i've used it before and i've never had this happen before.

maybe i'm malnutritioned.... i dunno.... does anybody know what could be going on?? i dont wana be bald!

Dear CtlunatC

Try this: Mix the juice of one lemon with 4 tbsp coconut milk. Massage it into your scalp and wash off after half an hour. Do this at least once a week to arrest hairfall.

Or

Rub Indian gooseberry (Amla) into the scalp regularly. It can show wonderful results, it will stop hair falling.

Eat a protein rich diet inluding green leafy vegetables, carrots, mango, dried apricots, whole grain cereals, sprouts, lentils in the daily diet for the hair loss and falling hair.

Hope it helps!

Sometimes the weather and time of year affects the scalp. I wouldn't worry about it unless it continues for a while.

Hair tends to shed more around the summery months or in warmer weather. Of course there are a million other (entirely natural) reasons for hair shedding, so try not to worry!

And it is entirely possible that stressing about hair loss can actually exacerbate the situation too. So as already stated, remain calm and see how things pan out. It is only hair really, it will not change 'you' :-)

no you are not balding, you just have a hair loss problem. you have to choose hair care products very carefully and look after your hair more than before. here's an article for you about this problem and its solutions: http://www.jurgita.com/articles-id134.html

Default You"re Not Alone

I have been dealing with the same problem on and off for 2 years or so.I'm giong to take the advice in the previos posts.
Are you under stress? Have you had your thyroid checked?
I have been taking extra biotin,a beauty vitamin...And a very important thing you can do is to massage your scalp, once a day with whatever you decide to use as a treatment, even olive oil, really get the circulation going.I haaaaate it! But i'm still trying too.

Hair goes through resting and growth phases. It's actually normal to lose up to 100 hairs a day, and when shampooing is when you'll most notice the fallen hair. Unless you are seeing bald patches (alopecia areata), I wouldn't worry too much. Sometimes just seeing your stylist for a shaping and maybe conditioning treatment will help- then follow up with conditioning at home. One tip- if the hair has the bulb on the end, it's probably normal loss. If there are short pieces with no bulb, it's probably breakage, which chemical processes can cause sometimes. Diet and vitamins definitely help as well. Much luck,
Kerry

You lose more hair when your hair goes through a growth spurt, so maybe that is what is happening.

It's normal for an average person to lose up to 100 pieces of hair a day. It's definately not a problem and you are not going bald =]. Also, hair tends to fall out more in the shower. So, yea...Dont worry!
