Default how do I "de-odorize" hair without washing?

Hello! I'm new to the site, and I was wondering if anyone could help me? A friend of mine has short hair and she says she only washes it once or twice a week. I just got my haircut short and I am finding that it looks good for a lot longer in-between washes. However, if I'm out a club or bar or around smoke it clings to my hair. Anyway to get rid of the smell without washing it?

I'm in bars every week, due to pool league games, and smoke definitley clings to everything. If it's not too bad, I just go to bed and don't worry about it, since it's usually gone by morning. If it's too strong, I may mist it with a spritzer bottle I keep filled with water with a bit of jojoba and lavender oils, or I may mist it with rosewater. These both seem to help cut the smokiness.
For my clothes and jackets, I keep a bottle of Febreeze.

You can also buy sprays that remove the odors from the hair and give it a fresh smell.
