my hair recently has been very nasty in some parts..mostly on the top of my head near the roots. I do what the hairstylists say, wash every other day and shampoo and condition when i do. So I have been following there advice but even when i wash my hair, it still comes out greasy and it has a really nasty feeling to it.
Only when i color my hair or use shine treatments does my hair go back to its glossy, shiny look, and i can run my hands through it..before i used the treatments or dye..it felt nasty to touch..my hair will stay nice and shiny/glossy for a couple days..then its right back to feeling grosss... can anybody help me out about whats causing the nastiness and how i can get rid of it & have nice hair ALL the time?!! Thanks!! |

I think its time to find a shampoo meant for your hair type, the one you are using is not helping. Have you talked to your stylist to see what she suggest if you are using something she as suggest and it not working take it back and get her to help find something that will if not PM me and I will see what I can find for you.

Try using a clarifying shampoo to get rid of any product that is bound to your hair. Silicone products stick like glue. Then return some moisture to your hair using honey with your conditioner. After you rinse, use an apple cider vinegar rinse (about 2 tablespoons of vinegar in 10-12 ounces of water, distilled water is preferable), then rinse lightly with cold water.
If you are blonde, use white vinegar. The vinegar will help return your scalp Ph to normal. After that, use diluted shampoo. This will give your scalp a break from trying to mass produce tons of oil to replace what the harsh shampoo removes. |

Apple cider vinegar rinse does work really well and that is the first thing I think you should try. Justgreen's method seems like it would work with all of the different ingredients involved, but I think it would be smart to consult your stylist like Judi said and make sure this or anything else you try is suitable for your hair.
