Default Horn vs. Tortoise shell comb

Does anybody use either of these kinds of combs for their hair? What do you think of them?

I always use a wide toothed horn comb and love it.

I read something about that you have to soak it in oil for it to work. Do you do this?

In the last year I put only once a few drops oil on it.
