Default washing coloured hair

I've recently coloured my hair with Schwarzkopf xxl live deep red and I'm worried about it loosing its shine and richness once its been washed. I've put off washing it because all the other dyes I've tried have lost their brilliance after the first wash even with colour protect shampoo.

help please

Red is one of the hardest colors to maintain, I good color shampoo and conditioner will help. Some meant for Colored Red hair is the Best. I like Redken color lock, Matrix Joico is not bad either. Remember to wear a hat when in the sun that really fades red fast and you can get SPF for the hair as well.

Thanks but you can't get those brands in the UK. I guess I'll just have to buy a colour protect shampoo and cross everything.

darn my desire to be redhead

Perhaps you can get L'oreal Professional Gloss Color Shampoo for red hair, or the Henna-Shampoo from Guhl.

best way is to wash your hair once a week so that the color doesnot fade from frequent washing.
also your hair will be clean and smell clean.
