My dad once did this to my mum's hair after she begged him to trim her hair, (longtime ago) as she didn't have time to go to a stylist, (just before a major family gathering) hahaha...it was so bad, my mum didn't speak to dad the entire time guests were at home and my dad couldn't help laughing whenever someone asked her about her new hair cut..

I guess if you have long hair and want it short you could always give it a go but then you'll have to go to a hairdresser and get it fix.
