what is your current hair style/color?

my hair is a dark brown with a few lowlights.
first it was very very long (my friends called it 'mermaid hair') and then i cut it very layered and just above my shoulders but now i want my long hair back so i can't touch it for a while. the layers have now all grown out so my hair is pretty much all one length, and up to my shoulders

Haha, I used to be told I had "mermaid hair" all the time. That was when it was longer and I wore it wavy more often:


Now I wear it straight a lot more, and side parted, so I get Jessica Rabbit comments more than mermaid comments:



Anyway. . . yeah. Not the best pictures in the world, but they get my point across I guess. Lol.

well for me you can ssee it from the avatar. i have bangs in front and i cut my hair slightly shorter in a v-shape with layers. going to cut, rebond and maybe dye it soon.. hehe

Resha - What colour are you thinking of dying it? I think it looks really good now. The bangs are very cute. I always get jealous of people with bangs because they never look right on me lol.

Cassie - I'm guessing your signature is you in a variety of different looks? And if I'm right in assuming the avatar is a pic of you, you've got such pretty eyes. By the way how long was your hair before you cut it?

My hair was quite long but just got it cut to shoulder length with alot of layers. Didnt like it at first since i was so used to long hair, but im gettin used to it now. My hair has tinges of red colour in it. Ive being trying so hard to get the right reddish marron colour but whenver I dye my hair the colour fades quickly

Oooh, I'll reply to my own post here, LOL. I have been growing my hair out again since I cut it last summer, which was when I originally started this post. Now my hair is down to between my shoulder blades, and I usually wear it in it's naturally wavy state.

Can you post pictures of your current hair colour and the colour you want it to be? I might be able to help you since I've had some experience with red dyes. My hair is naturally dark auburn (like just a tiny bit darker than the first picture I posted), so a lot of times it strikes me as more brown than red. I like lightening it up a bit (to how it looks in the second and third pictures) to bring more of the red out. I hope I can help you!

Well I just went back to a Medium brown, but I want to put a steak of color in Like Stacy London or thing about getting my hair done like Carol Sager.

well those photos were taken quite recently, most from last year, but i dont think many really show the short layers i had. yes my avatar is of me, thankyou, but my eyes aren't that special, theyre just brown to me haha. oh i long for green eyes..
my hair was just above my hips, and was dead straight. when i got a blunt fringe cut everyone then called me a porcelian doll, rather than a mermaid haha.
