Default Hairstyle for little sister

Hi everyone, i'm a newbie here. I'm not the creative type, but my little sisters look up to me for beauty tips, makeup ideas, and hair styles. Unfortunately, i was one of the girls in highschool that combed her hair after a shower, let air dry, or put in a pony tail, that was my hair routine (still is, shh!) So i'm not much help with trying to find a hairstyle for my sister. I got lucky, and have fairly easy hair to cope with. My sister on the other hand (who is almost 12) has thick poofy hair. We want low maintance and preferably short. But, when she has it short, it poofs out to the side, but when she has it long, it's a huge tangle of hair. We need a hairstyle that can be easy, pretty, simple, and as little maintance as possible. Easy right? HA!

She has a rounder face, with a low hairline in the front. She does NOT want the hair in her face. I keep trying to get her to get bangs, but she refuses cux she doesn't want them in her face. I think little wispys might look nice though. If you guys could direct me somewhere that has good style ideas, or if any of you have similar hair, what's your style? Thanks a bunch!
Sara

Try these sites to give you some idea's
www.ivillage.com
http://hairstyles.free-beauty-tips.g...airstyles.html
http://wheresmystylist.com/
Also browse through the magazine racks for hairstyle magazine or go to you libary they have book and Magazines as well.
Make sure you pick a few and then go to a stylist they will be able to let her know if this(the pictures) is something that her hair will do and how much time she needs to do it. Suggestion try to go witih something fairly simple to start till she gets the hang of doing her hair.

You can always google "hairstyles". You'll find loads of pictures and maybe you find one you like.

Two is definitely a good choice but if your hair is wavy, there would be a fair amount of styling involved - and that goes for each one of them. Choose one that is versitile so you can have more than one look with it, maybe one that looks good straight and wavy.
I suggest you don't take too much off of the length to be safe.
