Hairstyles for guys with short hair.

Well ive been looking around on the web lately for some hairstyles for men with short hair but havent been able to find much....

up until now the most ive done with my hair is either comb it around my head or just part it to one side.... but Im looking for something a little more... striking?

Im not sure I was just wondering if anyone had any tips for products which products will give a shiny look etc... Ive tried Gel before but it just seems to make my hair go shiny and rock solid... kinda of makes it look fake.

Anyways Im babbling.. anyone have any suggestions or advice on products?

Very simple: you're a man, go get a man's haircut. Go to a barber - not a stylist or a hairdresser. A barber who has been cutting hair since your dad was a little boy, ideally. Tell him you need a haircut and let him do his work.

Will it be revolutionary? No, it will not. Avant garde and trendy? Probably not. But he (and it WILL be a he) will know the basic styling that works for your head and hair, and you should take advantage of his expertise.

If worst comes to worst, you will wind up with a hairstyle you deem too conservative, and will have to live with it for about 8 weeks until your hair grows out. Not the worst outcome, for the chance to enjoy the expertise of someone who has probably been cutting hair since the Vietnam war....
