Default slit in my nail

a few months ago i wore some fake nails, i wore them for about 10 days....
they came off pretty good but i have noticed that one of my nails has a slit
that runs all the way up my nail, and it like is split just a tine bit but my nail doesn't seem to be growing?.. any ideas on what to do?.. and do you think it was from the fake nails???..thank you for any help...

It is definitely from the fake nails!! I had some put on a few months ago and when I took them off my some of my nails split like that. It is from the nail technican sanding them too much...It happens alot..A few of my friends had the same problem...There is nothing you can do but let them grow out...Which they will eventually do, it just seems like it takes forever!!! When my nails were like that I made sure I kept a nail strengthener on them at all times. I applied two coats the first day and then a coat everyday for a week, then I took it off and started the process over until they grew out...My nails felt very sore and were paper thin when I took the fake nails off and this really helped...If you ever get them put on again, make sure you tell whoever is doing you nails not to sand them too much....Hope this helps......
