New brushes are stiffer. I usually lather some body foam and scrub my knees and elbows first. After some uses,it will be more gentler then I used it on the rest of the body. After body brushing, do apply body moisturiser. And remember to dry your brushes(for me, I let it dry under the sun).Keeping it and letting it drip dry in the bathroom will encourage bacteria to grow.We wouldn't want bacteria to be smeared all over our body. =)

Default Any cheap or homemade body scrubs?

Hi! It's time to self tan again and I always spend too much money on a body scrub. Does anyone have some drugstore suggestions,or because I am lazy..a EASY homemade one?
If you use before self tanning can you mention that too..Thanks!

Olive oil and salt or sugar. Marcelle has a really nice self tanner.

I don't use a scrub very often, but I like good old St Ives Apricot scrub. Bath & Body Works makes a good scrub, I think it's part of their True Blue Spa line.

I love using sugar scrubs, they smell heavenly.

Bookmarked this the other day, but haven't tried it yet:

Give it a shot? It contains aloe vera as well

I like to use plain yogurt and spearmint tea leaves for a natural homemade body scrub:

1 table spoon of plain yogurt mixed with 1 tea bag of spearmint (dried). Open up the tea bag and sprinkle the dry leaves into the yogurt. Once it's mixed together it looks and feels like a scrub.

The dry tea leaves are great for exfoliating the skin (getting rid of dead skin cells). The yogurt helps smooth and soften. You can apply it to wet or dry skin. Leave it on for a few minutes and then rinse off.

You can use any herbal tea. I like spearmint because it cools the skin and it's supposed to be good for keeping acne under control.

i don't have a brush but i do have a couple of those netting balls that are sold everywhere. they can be used if you can't afford a brush. i love brushes but money is tight and i get these puffs as gifts so i have been using them.
