Sorry, I can't really give you much advice except for you to ask your doctor about different meds/creams. They should be able to offer you an alternative to your previous meds - you can't be the only one who can't tolerate them.
I have always found presciption creams highly effective, but I'm very interested if anyone has any thoughts on lighthouselady's question? I know that many people say that you should try to sit with the excema directly in the sun for 15 minutes every day as this is a safe amount of time and yet it still helps against the excema. I'm not much of an expert however. :/

Eczema is usually a hereditary condition, and generally caused by dryness. I make my own skin oils that I use to mosturize my body with after showering. Olive, sweet almond and grapeseed oils are all great, and I add a few drops of lavender essential oil,(to about 4 to 6 ounces of the olive or other oil) which helps calm irritation and soothe the skin. Also it's best to avoid long hot baths, or extreme water temperatures, and showering is best to avoid a flare-up (my son and I have both dealt with eczema, so I know how much of a problem it can be.)
