wash with soap. Dry arm pits. Then wet armpits with vineagar, white preferably.
Armpits smell due to bacteria- ( I think they release sulfur) that can live in a high salt concentration type of enviornment. Vineagar is acidic and kills the bacteria. I used to do this when I was broke in college studying bacteria. lol! Caution: If your skin is sensitive, be careful with shaving and vineagar deodorant. |

Alum powder is very effective and never cause dark armpits. It can be also used as foot deodorant by rubbing some powder within your feet especially in-between toes.

You can also use liquid chlorophyll, which has natural odor absorbing properties. You can make your own with lawn clippings- yep, just grass, cut into bits. Put into a clean jar, and cover with 1 cup of vodka. Cover tightly with a lid and store in a cool dark place for one week. Strain and discard the clippings. Here is a recipe for a chlorophyll deodorant:
1 TBSP glycerine 2 TBSP Vodka 1/2 C witch hazel 1/2 tsp. liquid chlorophyll Combine ingredients and pour into a spray bottle. |

Thanks for the information freshwater pearl. I have been wanting to make a homemade deodorant for a long time now. I can't stand any of the main brands.
