So, I have decided to give the oil cleansing method a shot. I remember trying it way back in the day, but this was before i was dedicated to cleansing my skin, so i probably gave up after a week lol.
Anyways, back to it. I did a 50/50 mix of castor oil and sunflower oil, with a few drops of tea treee oil. I read some reviews online, and altho the common mix is castor oil and evoo, some people have had problems with the evoo, since it is so thick and may clog pores, i just avoided it altogether, and chose a more recommended oil, sunflower. I have gradually added it to my skin routine. In the morning I am still washing my face with my clean and clear morning burst shine control cleanser. Then at night I have been doing the oil cleansing method, followed by a homemade toner made of 3parts apple cidar vinegar to 1part witch hazel, with a few drops of tea tree oil. Then i follow this with my clean and clear moisturizer. I am eventually hoping to completely eliminate the clean and clear products, but i didnt want to do it all at once, because i was afraid my skin might freak out from shock, so im gradually changing my routine, and switch to a natural moisturizer, I was thinking either aloe vera or vitamin e cream, but am open to suggestions. Im going to go visit my local health store too to see what they carry. Ill keep yous posted on how everything turns out.

Let us know how it works for you!
I've tried the oil cleansing method, but was too lazy to keep it up. LOL I'm hooked on pre-moistened face cleansing cloths... just swipe and go! ![]() I probably should spend more time and go back to a more natural routine, though. It is good for your skin. I've used apple cider vinegar & water as a toner before, it works really well, and the smell dissipates quickly. I've read aloe vera gel makes a good moisturizer. So does jojoba oil. I think I've even used apricot kernel oil.
