Default Foundation

Hi Everybody!

I have a Medium/Tan skin-tone and I can't seem to find the right shade of foundation (I have tried almost all of them)My problem is that the foundation always ends up looking kindof yellowish. I've tried using a lighter foundation but it looks like a mask and i've mixed the light foundation and the darker foundation together and it still doesn't seem to change much. I use Neutrogena Clean Tint and it works GREAT for a natural "day look" but at night I want to spice it up a little and look more "glamorous"...Maybe foundation just isn't menat for me...
Does anyone else have this problem?

I think everyone has ran up against this one. When you buy foundation take a tester on a cue-tip and run it on your jaw line. Do this with different ones, with different undertones. Please do not look at these in the store lighting, have a mirror with you and go outside in Natural light see if any look like they blend into your own skin tone. If not keep trying you will find one. Good Luck.

Sounds like your Neutrogena Clean Tint works great. As for a night time look... All you need to do is to create stronger eyes or stronger lips, and a medium toned blush to spice it up for a more Glamourous look.

Remember, foundation just evens out your skin-tone. If you want to darken your skin tone for night, apply a bronzer.

Also, you could try to balance the yellow out with powder or colour corrector.

I agree with vogue on this, bronzer and alternate eye/lip look would be best for night. L'Oreal's foundations are pretty good and they have a good color selection..wide variety. My favs are infallible and true match.

Try Maybelline Dream Matte Mouse in Natural. You'll get that natural glowing skin.

Maybelline have also introduced some more matte mousse products, such as bronzer and shimmery highlighter. If used sparingly, they should look very glam and very natural also.

I am an african american woman and I've always had that very problem so I can tell you exactly what to do. You can go to M.A.C. or Perscriptives and have your cosmetics customblended as for me I go to Perscriptives and it really works.

Hope this helps.

Good Luck!!!

Default Natural cosmetics

Hi! I'm new to the forum.. I should say hi but I'm keen to ask questions..
Can one make (homemade) foundation? I hear it's possible but when I saw what might go in I thought it was just like stuff in shops. And/or are there any stores or places which have natural ingredients in foundation for a cheap price?
