Umm...I usually just clean my brushes whenever I think they need cleaned and I just wipe them on a kleenex or a napkin...nothing to rough though

i got a 5 dolla cheap brish set 3 years ago, still going strong by using J&J baby shampoo, followed by a deep soak in hotwater and hand dryed.
