pinksoprano is on a distinguished road
Default suggestions please?

I'm wearing a light pink/purple dress for a vocal recital but I'm not sure how I should do my makeup. I normally dont wear dresses that are really bright colors but i fell in love with this one and it was also way cheap ($20)
I was thinking about going with a strong lip since I'll be singing but any recommendations for lip color that will last and wont cost me a ton? (I dont usually wear bright lipstick besides red lipstick so I dont know if I'm willing to splurge on something really fancy, I'm a Revlon fan though)

here's the dress (with me in it....I know, it needs to be ironed and I look pretty awful but it's really all about the dress. My hair will be pulled back in a side-part sleek bun for the recital)

You have beautiful eyes make those your vocal point, from what I can tell your eyes are brown or brownish hazel. You say you like Revlon they have just come out with some summer color, their is one 4 pallet that has a plum, a really nice green, Not a mint color, gold highlighter and a very nice brown.
I would use the gold high liter has a base and then use the green on the lids and use the plum in the crease and the brown toward your eye ducts and slightly up. Go with A rich plum eyeliner, smudge it up and out. Dark Black Mascara.
Lips should be lighter so you could you a lip pencil in a plum and fill in with a light pink or clear gloss. Let me know if this help I am sure I can come up with other ideas if this won't work for you. But I think you would look great, love the dress.

Wow, what a great dress, you have a lovely figure, too. In addition to Judi's advice, I would suggest some highlighter on your cheekbones, and maybe some cream blusher in a gold kind of colour.
