I love BE! I used to use Benefit foundation and I switched about 6 months ago- it looks so natural and gives you such a glow...seriously.

I have used both BE and Sheercover and I prefer BE (sheer cover is terrible) but unfortunatly both made my skin break out because of the bismuth. I have recently tried everyday minerals and joppa minerals and I actually like both of them better and they don't use bismuth and they are cheaper.

I like B.E. ,that is MY preference & when people ask about it on this forum I give them MY opinion, from MY experience. That is all I can draw on is personal experience I assume all yall are doing the same ; voicing your personal experience. I really do not understand why ANYONE would go on a beauty forum & get defensive or attack someone's personal likes, dislikes,or advice. Go talk about the war or some damn thing if you want to fight.....this is beauty for god sake. I hope BB you dont stop posting because one dummy,I am new and try to respect all P.O.V.![]() |

I couldn't agree more. I have found that I break out WAY less with BE, am loving it!!!! And it really controls my oiliness way more than any other product I've ever tried (& I've certainly tried a lot!!).
![]() But I totally understand that not everyone's skin is the same & some don't do well with BE. I'm on another forum (not too much anymore though) where they call you a satanist if you say you like BE. Craziness! |

This is the best forum on the internet, not only for talking about cosmetics, but also for making friendships. I've grown to think of everyone here as close friends, so much more than just "people I know on the internet."I agree with you, that we each post our opinions based on our own individual preferences and exeriences, and we will all have a different point of view. That's what makes it interesting to read, as long as we're all civilized. And everyone here is so wonderful about respecting others' opinions.

I do have to wonder why the ingredients of mineral makeup is such a huge deal to some people, when they don't even pay attention to the ingredients of the rest of their makeup........I guess it's because there are claims that mineral makeup is better for your skin, but that's now why I chose to use it, I use it cuz it works well with my skin type.....I keep seeing this issue come up on several forums now & it's really irritating.

I think a lot of people never really thought about what was in their make up. It was just there, and that's what you used because that's all that was available. When the mineral make up came along and claimed to be so pure "you can sleep in it" (which I wouldn't reccommend any way, regardless of what make up you wear), I think it gave people a totally different choice. We're always looking for things that are better, and the mineral make up seems to offer it.
I also know of other people who tried it because they never used makeup before simply because of the ingredients that were in regular make up. They're looking for a more "natural" product. That may be because they use natural products in other areas of their life, or it may be due to skin sensivitity. For others (myself included, and you too, I'd say) it simply works. I had tried mineral make up a few months ago by ordering samples from website, but I didn't have the right brushes and didn't do the application well, so I wasn't happy with it. But about 3 weeks ago, I decided to give it another try, and this time I spent the money on good brushes (a kabuki brush and a concealer brush), and I must say it made a world of difference. I really was not expecting to like this product, but I'm amazed with the coverage and the feel so far. It's even helping to control the oiliness that is the bane of my existence. LOL ![]()

Yeah, I totally agree about good brushes--it's just like men working on cars, the right tool makes all the difference, I always remind my husband of this when I need a new brush, LOL!!!!
