What are your thoughts on mineral make-up? For anyone familiar with it, I would greatly appreciate any advice you may have as to which colored mineral eye shadows and the like would best go with my features.
I have fair skin, medium brown hair with natural gold highlights, and blue eyes.

There is one By Physic ans Formula that suits everyone, its called Eye brightener and it just open your eyes and makes your eye pop with out all the color, they also have it in a pink, bronze color. I really like these less fuss, the added bonus you look very much alive and glowing.

I have tried several different brands but the one I always come back to is Bare Escentuals. I have a few of the BE e/s but don't reach for them much. As for colors I think shimmery golds/golden browns or silvery taupes would look great with your eye/skin/hair color. I would definitely steer away from blues and anything too dark. For lips I would try sheer pinks, golden pinks, light nudes etc.

Browns and natural pinks are a good start for eyeshadows. They are more natural colors and do not detract from your natural beauty but add to it. Mineral makeups are available in such variety of colors and textures that you are sure to find something that suits your skintone and features. If you need some help finding the right colors....
Buff'd Cosmetics is offering our mineral makeup powders in small ziplock sample bags for clients to try...free of charge. Have a look through our website at www.buffd.com, pick the colors that you would like to try (maximum 3 per order please) and email your color choices, along with your mailing address, through the link on our contact us page. If you are interested in larger samples, we have now added sample packs to our website. Our sample jars are larger than those offered by other companies... 1/5 - 1/4 size of the normal jar size - not simply a 1/4 teaspoon. Buff'd Cosmetics formulates high-quality mineral cosmetics. We pride ourselves on great customer service so if you have any questions, please feel free to send us an email. |

HI! I'm new to this forum;but not to bare escentuals! LOVE! I really like the shadows, they blend great&last&do not "crease". The rules for color(shadow) was never match your eye color.C'mon! I have brown eyes, and guess what I wear BROWN SHADOW!!! I think makup shoud be fun! If you are really attracted to a certain color,go for it. There are ways to make any work, like a blue-green on the lid & a neutral in the crease.peacock, celery are both good.If you wand to try something more tame 1st time, try one of the "Meet The" collections.Either M.T.browns or great 4 blue eyes M.T plums.I like "true gold" to punch up my browns. Well rested is great as a base&up bythe brow.IF you want more advice(specific single colors)just ask! One more the "wine country glimpses" blendable coll.(qvc&sephora) Have fun!!!! I tried it, and didn't like it. It is like a loose powder w/ no foundation before it.
