Cool What a simple guy can do in makeup?

Just wondering, what guys around 18-22 years old can wear as makeup?

I am especially looking forward to hear vogueboy's comments on this one

Cheers everyone!!!!

Make-up for men is as easy as 1-2-3… Well, sort of. Assuming that your hormones are settling, (acne prone and all) 18-22, then again I’ve seen 30 yr olds with it too.

Anyways…

1) Skin care is vital to a great make-up application. Use a cleanser, toner and moisturizer with an SFP that are all balanced to your skins’ Ph. If you’re wearing a beard, exfoliate before you shave, don’t use a mask unless it’s a super saturated hydration mask.

2) Use a cream based foundation that matches your skin tone exactly because it’s easier to sheer out and blend into your skins natural tone. Liquid foundations are made for women’s skins due to their pore size and texture and will look feminine.

3) Use a foundation brush to apply your foundation in a gentle patting or stippling motion to only the red areas of your face which are: Your cheek bones, the sides of your nose near the nasal labial folds and in rare cases, the bridge of your nose and your neck ONLY if you have ingrown hairs due to shaving. Do not use sponges (wedges), your foundation will look too thick. Never apply foundation to your 5 ‘O clock shadow, chin and forehead. You will look too feminine unless you’re going for a clown, mime or a trans-gendered look.

4) Use a fingernail sized amount of a yellow based concealer mixed in with your foundation to conceal both under eye circles. Apply with a concealer brush with the same gentle patting action. Use only a VERY small amount, too much and it will look too cakey and pale. This applies to blemishes as well. NEVER apply your concealer over your foundation or vice-versa, again this will look too thick.

5) Set your foundation using a medium toned blotting or setting powder with a velour puff, again with a gentle patting motion. Also powder your forehead to take away excess shine.

6) Apply a non-shiny lip balm.

7) Do not overly groom or tweeze your brows, apply mascara or use eyeliner UNLESS for a special occasion, an evening look or a club look. DO NOT USE a contour or eye shadow it will make you look too feminine or trans-gendered.

These steps on men’s make-up have been used and proven by myself and other Professional Make-up Artists on feature films, sports talk shows, TV journalists and models. They all look good, natural and masculine on film and on the street. And yet no one can tell that they’re wearing any make-up. And any guy can do it.

Good luck, have fun and practice. Remember it’s only make-up… It washes off.

Maybe you could take some pointers from Lukas Rossi. I love his make-up and his hair!
