Default anyone allergic to bare minerals?

hi you guys! im new to this site and im so glad to have found this forum =)

ok, my problem is i've been breaking out for almost three months now! i don't know what could be the problem. my skin in acne prone, so that's when i decided to use bare minerals since everyone says its better for you skin and great for acne prone skin right? well, i started using b.m last june and i loved it! i thought my skin looked better and i didn't break out that much.... BUT last october, my skin has been breaking out like crazy!!! i haven't changed anything in my face regimen. now i don't know what to do... i recently went on anit-biotics to clear up my acne, but its too soon to actually see results =/ i have noticed when i recently started using the warmth on my face. i have been breaking out. so i stoped using warmth complety, but after a month of stop using it, i still break out =( can anyone help me with suggestions or has anyone ever been allergic to b.m?? help!

There have been people that have had allergies to it, rashes, hives and blistering. It is not often this happens so you might want to take a look at the ingredients and do a search to find out which part of it is bothering your skin.

I don't remember if Bare Minerals is one of the brands that has it, but I know I've read some women have a reaction to the bismuth in some some brands of mineral make up.

yes, bare minerals does have bismuth which has caused a lot of problems for a lot of people, but so far I haven't had a problem with my bare minerals.

I have used alot of mineral makeup brands and I can't use anything that contains Bismuth Oxychloride. This is probably the ingredient that is causing the reaction. A couple of brands that are really good and don't contain bismuth are Everyday minerals, Joppa Minerals and Mineral Basics. I think that Joppa is my favorite (better coverage than any of the others) but all of these offer cheap or free samples so it's worth a try mineral makeup is deffinatly worth it if you can find a brand that works. Hope this helps.
