Default Anyone ever heard of a "base lipstick"?

You know how the color of the lipstick that you see might look one way, but once you apply it to your lips, it looks different depending on your natural lip color? My natural lip color is kind of dark, so the lipstickSomeone once told me there was a "base lipstick" that you apply first, and then when you apply a second layer of the normal lipstick, the color of the second layer will stay true to the way you see it on the stick and not change due to your natural lip color.

Does anyone know what the base lipstick is and where to buy it? Or maybe some similar product that act the same?

Also, does anyone have some tips to make the color last longer on your lips and not smudge when you drink or eat?

thank you

Isn't a base lipstick like...a beige coloured one that you wear underneath as like a primer/primar lol?

I'm not sure. Does it help make the second layer of lipstick stay true to its color?

I believe that M.A.C. , Make up For Ever and SmashBox carry bases for your lips. And yes, they make all your lipsticks last longer and true-to-colour.

Also, try SeneGence, Their line of lip colours last 8-12 hours with continuous hydration and are guaranteed not to smudge or your money back.

Thank you so much, Judi. Can you tell me where I can buy these products? Do drugstores like Walgreens or Rite Aid have them?

Thank you

I've never heard of that term, where have you heard it before? But you can buy them all around NYC, of course, you can buy anything around NYC...
