Default Best foundation

i was just wondering what people think is the best foundation!!

I have scars on my face and need very good coverage but i also have oily skin. Right now I use CG AquaSmooth. But i also like Clinique superbalanced makeup! For powder i use Loreal true match super blendable powder! very good stuff!

If everyone could say their favorite foundation and powder, and say why they like it, that would be great!

I love love love Maybelline!!! It is the best foundation i have ever had/used (and i have used tons). If ur scars are deep, i think it will work, but if they are surface ones from chicken pox or acne, maybelline is still the best. I would say that u should try one of the thicker ones, and dont blend as much where the scar(s) are. Hope this helps, and please let me know!

Default Favorite foundation

I made the switch to mineral makeup and could never go back to liquid ever again! You can get excellent coverage and camoflauge many problems such as acne, scars, and dark spots. It takes a little practice when you start, in order to figure out how to apply the minerals and conceal, but the results can be fantastic. I like Bare Escentuals and the Mineral Veil powder that goes over it. I have also recently tried Aromaleigh Mineral Makeup and like their products as well. You don't even need a finishing powder with their foundation, as it is matte. They do offer highlighting finishing powders and I like using that as well.

Wow, there are some good foundations mentioned here.

My 2 favs are Ultra Foundation by Kryolan. It's a cream based foundation that is highly pigmented to skin tones yet it is very sheer to apply. A pencil eraser tipped size is enough to cover a face.

And Visiora. Their foundations and powders are based on lighting conditions rather than on skin tones. It's very tricky to work with at first, however, once you get to know your lighting, it's very easy to work with and like the Kryolan Ultra Foundation, it's sheer texture is very easy to apply.

Also, you have to use the corresponding powder # to the foundation # or else the foundation will not "read" correctly. There is an instruction or "recipe" manual on how to custom mix and blend the foundations and powders. Unfortunately you have to get it from the manufactuer (the only downside). It may seem all complicated at first, yet with practice, the results are well worth it.

In my experience, this is the closest foundation texture to an airbrush foundation application... Extremely natural looking with zero skin flaws.

I've tried most every one out there and keep going back to Prescriptives Virtual Matte. It has medium to full coverage that blends nicely. Prescriptives also has a new product out there called Flawless Skin. Its long lasting without changing colors and is also medium to full coverage.

Another is Estee Double Wear.....this one is a little heavier but applies nice and does truly last all day and then some.
