I have a mascara that is only 1 month old,Physicians formula, waterproof, lash in a tube, but it's starting to dry out already. Anybody have any suggestions about how to moisten it back up, because I really like it, but they obviously they have a tendacy to dry out quickly

However, with technology and ongoing R&D in cosmetics, there'll be a solution soon enough.

I read somewhere that if you place your mascara in hot water for a few minutes, it will loosen it up.

The usage time for eye-area cosmetics is more limited than for other products. Because of microbial exposure and the risk of eye infections, it is recommended replacing mascara every three months. If you used it for only 1 month, it's ok, but:
if mascara becomes dry, discard it. Do not add water or saliva to moisten it as that will introduce bacteria into it. Better be safe than sorry. _____ |

Thanks for the info, so can any one recommend a mascara that will last for at least a couple months without going dry and clumping or coming off in hot weather?

You could always just buy new mascara. Since there doesn't appear to be a solution to your problem, maybe you should just buy new mascara. There are some cheap prices out there, I've seen them. |

Remove the wand from the tube in one pull. Pumping the mascara will push air into the tube , drying out the formula and introducing bacteria into it.
