Default Honollulu - How to make it stay?

Will a lip primer help make it stay? It turns orange very quickly...itherwise I love the original color...very pretty and hot and looks good oon smokey eyes.
Any other alternatives by mac, etc, to replace honolulu, that are less sheer than honollulu"?

Thanks!!

Yes try a lip primer, there are several good ones, Red Earth, Lise Watier, Sally Hansen as a nice one that is good and inexpensive. Also I believe Nars and Benefit both have there own has well.
NYC as a white clear stick that they use as a primer and believe or not it works pretty well.

Do you experience other lipcolors turning orange on your after awhile, or just the NARS lipstick? If you find that many of your colors turn orange, it may be the acidity level of your skin. Some individuals are more "Acidic" than others, and lots of different products turn orange after a bit of time. If it's just this particular lipstick, then a lip primer is a great idea, or putting foundation and powder on your lips before applying your lipstick so that you are putting the lipstick on a "neutral" surface. Good luck!

Rebecca
