I have been using a Mary Kay foundation that is moisture based, (I do not think that they not will sell this one much longer). It is an older version.
I would like to find one that is a bit cheaper but good for my skin type, which is: skin color : fair to light beige skin type : Dry , with light Roseaca (fairly under control , but still a light red color on cheeks, chin, nose end.) And blue eyes. And I might as well admit it, I'm in my 40's so now there's the whole "older" factor to take into consideration (LOL).I just want to find some thing cheaper, and easier to get that I don't have to call some one, go get it and pay for it, or for some one to have it mailed to me. KWIM I would like for a foundation to cover the red, look fairly natural, and to help moisturize my dry, thirsty skin. Is there any thing like that out there that is over the counter, like at a wallmart or another department store that I can get with out goin' broke any more. I mean my Mary Kay stuff is a really small ( really, it's really small ) container and it cost's about $16 and doesn't last all that long. I use it sparingly. Thanx for any help !!! |

Which MK foundation were you using? I have similar skin and I just switched TO Mary Kay. I was using MAC and it was not moisture-based and much drier. I don't think you would like it. I didn't.

Try to the New Rimmel pot foundations, they have great coverage and are wonderful on dry and mature skin. You can find these at Walmart.

Cover girl has a foundation called "Advanced Radiance" that has Olay's anti-aging formula in it. The original formula is a liquid foundation, but now it's available in a cream foundation as well.

Good mornin ladies ,
![]() Just got back to ya'll about the foundation question. 1. Soonorlater - I have been using MK's Day Radiance Cream Foundation (Antique Ivory color ) my MK lady has to special order it from the company cause most MK ladies don't keep it on hand. They try to push the "newer" foundations ( which I tried- not liked much-notenough moisture in it ). It covers really, really well. hardly any is needed, and I always use my fingertips to apply it. truly it is the best for my skin I have ever tried. It covers my roseaca best without looking like I have any thing o n my face. I just fear now that I have actually found something I like it wil be discontinued. I do recommend it if you want really good coverage for dry sensitive/problem skin. It is how-ever the ONLY MK product I will ever use or buy. I got talked into Selling MK and using all their “new skin care line” It nearly destroyed my face. I wound up on steroids because I developed a serious allergic reaction to their new skin care Line. So I only recommend using the foundation. 2.Judi – I will go and look at them and find one I can try. Thanx for the recommendation. 3.Blackbird – Thanxs for the recommendation but I can’t use anything from Oil of Olay. Nearly everything in their product line has mineral oil in it. People with Roseaca have to avoid all mineral oil products. It can really do a number on your skin. But Thanx anyway. 4.Babydoll- Thanx, I’ll go look at this one also. Sorry so long, I appreciate all ya’lls help. Ronda Last edited by ronda : 05-27-2007 at 12:19 PM. |

My aunt is a Mary Kay consulatant. I use the Day Radiance Cream Foundation w/ SPF 8. I erally don't think that they will discontinue it. Although they have proven wrong in the past. I'm probably not any help but I jsut thought I would reply.

I've really been liking mineral foundation since i started using it, but Estee Lauder is another long-time favorite of mine.
