Default Methods to apply eyeshadows

To get smoky look
Apply a deep shadow on the eye lid. Dab some black eye shadow on the lower line on the kohl. Blend well , smudge and leave it at a darkish tone.

To get natural look
Apply pale, neutral eye shadow on the lids. Make sure the eye-lineris very thin. Curl the eyelashes.

No, that's ok

It means: Misuse or desecration of something that is sacred.

I used it in the context of an eyeshadow is the staple of a classic smokey eye.

I like the sound of the natural look, and I'm going to try it. Hope it works out good.

No, no, don't get one... If your eyeliner works for you then it works for you.

If you want to try something new or different then sure...

I have large eyes and often cannot use eye liner because it makes me look tired or like I have dirt under my eyes. I usually use a slightly shimmery light/pinkish eyeshadow all over my eyelids, curl eyelashes and use mascara on top lashes only. Does anyone have any ideas so that I can get the "smoky" look without having the "dirty" look?
