I'm the typical was a tomboy/nerd/whatever, but in high school I started to wear my hair down and dress more femininely. As a result I've definitely felt a lot better about myself. But I haven't taken the leap to make-up and want to try this summer before college. The problem is, I feel like maybe there's something guyish about my facial features...how can I wear make-up to help me look more feminine, not like drag queen? I've tried it out but start getting that drag queen vibe (Lol!)...although I'm the only one that thinks it (or says it).

I doubt that anyone really thinks you look like a drag queen. LOL You just need a little more self-confidence when wearing make up. That will come as you become more accustomed to seeing yourself with make-up on. It can be a bit of a shock to the sytem if you've really never seen yourself in a feminine way.
![]() Here's a few tips that might help you adjust to being a comstics kind of girl. Start out light; don't immediately go for heavy, dark, dramatic colors or lots of sparklies. Start with softer more natural colors and apply with a light hand. You might want to skip the foundation at first and just go for concealer and maybe a bit of face powder, or maybe a tinted moisturizer. Just something sheer, so you don't feel like you're wearing a mask of foundation. Also, start with a natural lip color like maybe a soft pinky-peach lipgloss. Stick with brown eyeliner for now, it's a softer more natural look than black, and if you use a pencil liner it's easier to smudge it out for a softer look. You'll eventually begin to feel confident enough to branch out to other styles.
