when i was about 12 I experimented with make up for the first time and set about trying out a natural collection foundation which i found terrible!I then went on to use a boots 17 foundation which i also found poor.Eventually I decided to extended my price range when I turned 13 and bought myself a maybellene foundation,it cost me around 4 pounds more but the increase in quality was exceptional and the results were dramatic. So maybe if i stretch the budget a little further the results will be even better still

My favorite foundation is Estee Lauder Double Matte foundation, it does wonders for oily skin. If you want a truly full-coverage foundation, Estee Lauder Double Wear stay-in-place foundation is awesome. I used to wear it before I switched to the Double Matte. They are pricey (US $32.50), but well worth it if you want a foundation with full coverage that lasts all day (especially the Double Wear).

I think it depends on each particular product you want. - My favourite eyeliner is a Miss Sporty £1.99 one which I bought on impulse, and I have found it to be just as effective as my previous eyeliner from Benefit which was ++£10. However, I have a MAC eyeshadow in a really bright green, and I definitely think that was a good buy, as when you're wearing something that shows up so well, it has to be able to last. This one does, and I'm pretty sure it's far superior to any drugstore brands.
It's mix and match, but I know for me, that I won't pay £15 extra for a foundation from MAC rather than a typical drugatore brand. - But then I suppose my skin doesn't need much foundation. I pay more money for the products which I feel I need to be just that bit better: for me it's liquid eyeliner, bright eyeshadow, concealer.
