Actually...It was Craigslist beauty forum that brought me to it....but, yesterday there was a ladt on there who was asking for advise on what to do with some of the things she didn't use anymore...or never liked.
Someone directed her to another site where they swap items.
It sounded like a cool idea...only...to me it was scarey cuz I don't know any of those people...and it was a huge huge group. lol
I really like it here though...no one is rude....and I feel like I fit in. lol

Has this been discussed before?

BTW...off topic a little, has anyone read the beauty forum on Craigslist? Those women can be MEAN!...so why do I even go read it? Cuz, it's like a train wreck...it's aweful, but something draws you to look. It's sometimes funny...but, most of the time they are just plain mean.

I agree with everything you just said, I visited that site before I found this one, and I am much more comfortable here, too! As for that whole swapping thing, it is kind of scary, but the people that want to swap only to get one specific item, and if you don't have that one they want you are S.O.L., it'd be much easier if people said this is what I have to trade, what do you have? And go from there. On the other hand I would be willing to do some trading with you in the future, if you would like, I hate throwing stuff away because it sat for so long it went bad!~Angie

Right now I have a few lipglosses that are WAY TOO DARK for me.....and I have a load of other stuff that I bought cuz it looked pretty or over the internet...and when it got here...WOW did it look different!! lol
I will get a list of stuff I have to trade together tonight after I am done cleaning up my house...and see if there is any interest!!

I am the worlds worst at cleaning!!
I clean for 15 mins...and break for 15 mins (or a little more).
If i'd just do all of it and get it over with I could play longer...but, I can't do all that at once.....I have to mop.....I hate mopping! lol
I do have my bathroom and bedroom, laundry and the dishes done.....now I have to do the sweeping and mopping...and my kids bathroom...which always brings fear into my heart! lol

Yes it was talked about a swap here a couple of years ago, but went to a vote and no one was very interested. Upon talking to people that had dealings with forums that had swaps some went very well, but like human nature there is always the few that take advantage of peoples good nature take the good with no swap and not even a thank you. Also the issue of hygiene is very important and that was the one thing that I think bother people the most.
So those are the reasons we have no swap, but I think like you both have already said the site and people stand in a league of their own with the fellowship and friendships with in these forums.

I can understand the hygiene issues!!!

I think it would be fun....even if it was only a couple of people back and forth.
I was worried about swapping with people in a bigger group for the very reason of someone running off with stuff and not sending anything.....but, I feel pretty safe here!
I am off to make my list now...I'll post it in this thread...that way if anyone sees anything they might like, they can let me know! I will disclose if it's not in the package or anything like that!!

Darn! I just cleaned out my stash last week!
I keep the stuff I won't use in a box; it either goes to my mom or girls at work, and then whatever is left over get thrown out.

Okay....I had cleaned up my make-up about a week or so ago and gave away all my blue stuff. lol

Mini lipgloss new never used:
Finale: deep burgandy red
Catwalk: Deep pink
Story: Deep pink with a hint of blue tint
Scene: Deep shimmery brown
Vintage: Deep coppery brown
CREAM EYESHADOW:
Smashing Tonic and Smashing Gin in a dual tube it's a coppery brown shimmer on one end..and a brown sparkle on the other. Never used
POWDER EYESHADOW:
Smashing Strike: this is a very very light brown...I think it is like a sand color.
Slight shimmer...great as a highlight color!! Never used

AVON:
Bonus sized eyeliner:
White
Silver
Black
Never used
EYESHADOW:
True Color Khaki: shimmery dark brownish green color
Very pretty, just too dark for me!
Never used

JANE:

Eye Zing in Deeply Green. Very pretty dark green color, just too dark for me.
I have tried this color once using an eyeshadow brush...no fingers or anything like that.
LIQUID EYELINER:
KHAKI: never used

LANCOME:

Mochaccino, light and shimmer brown.
This has been used twice by me only with the included applicator.

MAX FACTOR:
EYESHADOW:
compact with three shades of powder eyeshadow...shimmery white, black, and silver.
Never used.....Great for smokey eyes!!

JORDANA:
EYELINER:
Seagreen eyeliner: very pretty almost hunter green in color.
