Default Beauty Blender "Pink Egg"

Hi I was thinking about buying the "pink egg" and was wondering if anyone has used it and what they think of it. I have heard that it is great for applying foundation but I was wondering what the difference is between this and a regular sponge applicator? Thanks

Hi y’all. My name is Beauty Blender and I’m a sponge. Well, that’s my official name but since I’ve become so popular at Emakemeup.com I am now affectionately known as the “Pink Egg” . I was first noticed by this cutey named Sephora Slave. She pointed me out to everyone but no one paid much attention. Then along came something called Spring Fling and she put me on her wishlist. There’s a girl at Emakemeup.com that is what I’d call a copycat. When Sephora Slave wanted me, well so did this girl Marcia (girl.... ha ha, she’s a woman but she refers to herself as a “girl”). Surprisingly enough just about then is when I made an appearance on QVC. So Marcia snatched me up as did SS’s secret pal.
But Marcia didn’t appreciate me. She thought I was a sponge. She used me to blend like a normal sponge. So I did the only thing I could think of and ran away. I wanted to be loved, I wanted to be admired and Marcia didn’t do that.

Months passed and SS starts raving about the Pink Egg. Well I was thrilled to finally be getting attention. The more she talked about me, the more others started noticing and praising me. I started blushing heavily, maybe that’s why I’m pink! This got Marcia’s attention and she started looking for me but never realized that I had run away. Luckily for Marcia I whispered in another secret pal’s ear “send Marcia one, I have a feeling that the time is now ripe.”

Good timing, she loves me and appreciates me at last. She learned my secret: THE BOUNCE. You don’t blend with me, you bounce me! Put your foundation on your hand and bounce me into it, then bounce me on your face. Bouncy bouncy bouncy. That’s the style! I magically blend the foundation on your face just by bouncing. Some people call it stippling.

I’m just the cutest thing around (I’m obviously not modest). I retail for $19.95 and I come with 2 packets of sponge cleanser. Marcia doesn’t like my cleanser because she’s got this fussy nose and I smell like lavender. I don’t get it because she loves purple but you can’t account for everyone’s taste.

I’m just a little guy. Only a few inches but when you wet me I expand with pride. The best way to use me is to spritz me (oooh, I love that feeling) lightly with something like Evian or MAC Fix+. You can bounce me into a cream foundation like Cinema Secrets if you like or put the foundation on your hand and bounce me into that. I promise you’ll make your foundation brush jealous once you get the hang of me! I’m even a whiz at cream blushes, you can bounce me into your cream blush or you can just use me to blend it onto your face. And since I’ve got this little point as my tush you can easily use that to conceal or get in those nooks and crannies around your nose and eyes. And I’m so wonderful that I come with accessories: a little mesh bag if you want to throw me in the washing machine on gentle and a little plastic stand so I can dry evenly and quickly.

Now I bet you thought $20 for a sponge was outrageous but when you feel how soft I am, see how pretty I am, and your foundation looks amazing you’ll wish you had bought two.

I’m available at victoriasecret.com as well as beautyblender.net and a variety of places that have found out about my wonderfulness!

5 pinkalicious flowers

Here is a little info on the product, no I have not used it but it seems in the US its a good seller.

Default Eggilicious...???

I haven't used it... yet... I'll be stopping by Holt's to get one... I've heard from a beauty advisor that they last a long time and they are made of silicone(?) not sure though.

However, the application technique is totally fool-proof and you will get a flawless finish that way. (I use the same technique with my foundation brushes).

You can use the same stippling technique with a red and orange stippling sponge and get the same results as the egg, however, the egg is meant to be washed and reused.

I just saw the picture of the egg and the texture is very similar to that of the red stipple sponge.

Just by looking at the shape of the sponge, (egg), the texture, and the stippling application method... This sounds like a very good tool to have in one's kit. My favorite (product claim), is that it can be washed and reused, just how many times? I will find out.
