Default Drugstore Foundation advice please

I'd love to be able to dish out the dough for some super-quality stuff, but sadly I'm poor. I'm looking for a drugstore brand makeup recommendation. I'm 28, caucasian (if that matters), and my skin is on the dry/combination side. I'd like a light liquid foundation that's not drying and is on the sheer/dewy side. I don't have acne, although I do have some breakouts, so heavy coverage is not an issue. I'm currently using L'Oreal TrueMatch. The coverage is good and it's easy to apply, and seems very last lasting, but makes my skin feel and seem a bit drier and duller than I'd like.

Any recommendations?

There are no ways you can go with either a tinted moisturizer or foundation.
A tinted moisturizer adds some coverage and is great for dry skin
The second is a full foundation as you have mentioned.
For tinted moisturizers try Jane, Revlon, Rimmel and I really can't say much about Covergirl but its out there as well.
All the same products have a foundation as well, also Max Factor, NYC, Almay and the Prestige line.
I hope this helps.
Sorry Forgot about Maybelline

I've had pretty good luck with Maybelline's products. I have oily skin, so I'm using a long-wear formula, but you might try their Pure Makeup line, it's very light.

Well I picked up some the dream mousse foundation today in two shades. It was buy one, get another free. I've heard from good things about it and so far I like it. I have a horrible sunburn with peeling skin on my face, so it may be at least a week before I can really tell. Thanks for all the help!

That's strange, I KNOW I replied to this a few moments ago. Thanks for all the replies. I ended up with Maybelline's dream mouse to try. I've heard good things about it, and enjoy their dream mouse blush (I prefer cream blushes and shadows over powder). Since it was buy one, get one free, I was able to get two shades for highlighting and contouring. Since I have a bad sunburn, it will likely be a week before I can tell how much I like it, but so far it seems great.

I am a huge fan of True Match for drug store brands...

have you thought about using a different moisturizer?

Have you tried applying foundation with a foundation brush? And using a primer such as smashbox or Laura Mercier?

I have dry skin too. I am also an Esthetician and I like to treat the skin first then move to the makeup!

This time of year, depending on where you live, weather has a lot to do with the dry skin. Could you be dehydrated and not dry??

Two of my absolute FAV products are the Bioelements Gel Therapy Mask and the Creme Therapy Mask combined. OH.MY. GOODNESS! Your skin wil feel like a baby bottom afterwards!
