Default How to cover dark circles?

Hi, I'm kind of puzzled on how to cover the dark circles. I'm kind of tan, dark circles are seriously obvious. I've tried to use concealer to cover but in the end its like the area around my eyes will turn white or even grey after wearing the concealer for quite some time...

How do I blend it to my skin so that the area around my eyes looks naturally.
I hate it when its so whitish or gryish

Anyone can help me

I found this which might be helpful to you
Quote:
# If you normally use foundation , go ahead and apply it as usual. The wash of coverage provided by foundation will even out your complexion and eliminate at least a bit of the problem, showing you exactly where you need to apply concealer.

# Apply concealer to the darkened areas. Not your regular concealer, but one that you've acquired especially for this purpose. If the circles under your eyes tend to be very purple, use concealer with a yellowish tone. If the under-eye circles are blue, get a concealer that is more orange colored. Reddish circles? Grab an olive-based concealer and if your circles have more of a brownish tone, try one with a blue or mauve shade. These concealers will look funny in the tube, but when they're applied to your dark circles you will immediately see their neutralizing affects. It will still look a little off, but your eyes will look remarkably better after the final steps…

# Powder the area under your eyes with very fine translucent powder to set the corrective concealer, and then go over the area one more time with your regular, everyday concealer (the one that matches the rest of your happy, non-discolored skin).

Sounds like maybe you're using a shade that's too light. You don't want to go more than 1 or 2 shades lighter than your foundation. Apply your foundation first, then your concealer, and apply it only on the dark areas so you don't get the "white raccoon" effect.

Yes it really sounds like your using a concealer to light and not moisturizing enough. Use a concealer that is one shade lighter than your foundation, before you apply makeup make sure you use an eye cream and moisturizer for your face and let absorb for 10-15 minutes. (you could also use a eye brightening concealer)
I find by using the foundation first and applying the concealer last works the best, remember a gentle hand and a concealer brush will give you the best results. Lightly finish a a finishing powder.

This sounds kind of silly but it's amazing how often this is the problem. Apply the lightening agent to the part you want to darken! Blending comes next. An even blanket of a light tone doesn't help anything

Well yes, there are 2 pages with 27 threads, that have 181+ posts that address this concern. Here's the link:

Enjoy your reading

Also, any shade of foundation or concealer that is lighter than your skin-tone will make you look grey or whitish.

(Sorry Judi, Blackbird...)

You got the 2nd answer correct.

I say that line to everyone that sits in my chair. It does 3 things, 1) It keeps your eyes moist. 2) Only your eyelid moves when you blink, so when I apply anything under the eye area; liner, concealer, lashes, mascara, etc. That part of the eye never moves when you blink. 3) Keeps your actor/model comfortabe in the chair (personal space-wise).

You get an A Sun_Sparkz

Mmmm... For some reason I missed Sophie's post on this one

Step #2 is totally bang on.

Steps #1, #3 I would add: Just be careful not to put too much product under the eye area as this will enhance any type of puffiness and fine lines that you may have.

The trick to undereye concealing is to balance the reduction of dark colour, puffiness and fine lines.
