Default brown eyes...

i have light brown eyes, what colour eyeliner and mascara will make my eyes pop and look brighter in order to draw attention away from my dark circles?,

also, does a light reflecting eeye cream brighten up your eye area thus hiding your dark circles

Wink answer

First off, drink more water and the dark circles will start going away.
Eye reflecting cream does help.
Try using a brown mascara.
Blue eyeliner/eyeshadow will bring out the brown more and so will gold.

gold or brown eyeliner i would suggest - try only applying eyeliner to the TOP rim of your eyeline, and maybe only to the outer half. if you have to apply to the lower rim, apply only to half way.

try a YELLOW concealer under your foundation to get rid of dark circles.

and NEVER go to bed without a good eyecream on.

Sorry, that eyeliner technique is dated. Plus it will only attract attention to a half-lined eye.

I agree with the rest.

I have brown eyes, and I find that nearly anything but purple looks good w/my eyes. I have never tried liquid eyeliner, but really think a black eyeliner pencil halfway across the bottom rim .

Navy blue or forest green eyeliner looks good on brown eyes.

I think green and purple are wonderful colors for brown eyes. I like adding black eyeliner across my top eyelid right along my lashes. I think that really brings out my eyes. Or you could use the same color eyeliner as your eyeshadow. So if you use a green eyeshadow, put a thin layer of green eyeliner across your eye.

I am a brunette with very dark brown eyes and fair skin. I have used neutral eyeshadows in shades of beige and brown with black eyeliner and mascara for longer than I want to admit. I am looking for a change that feels brighter but is appropriate for someone over 40...OK it's actually over 50. Ideas anyone?

I'm also a brunette with dark brown eyes & very fair skin, and I just turned 40, so I can understand where you're coming from.
I think taupes or rosy colors are good choices. You can still use most of the color suggestions given in previous answers on this thread, just keep a few "stipulations" in mind such as don't go for sparkly colors, stick with something with a light shimmer or a light reflecting property.
