Default Making blusher last longer

Just to let you know guyz, I am a die hard fan of this website. However, I have one problem.
My blusher never lasts. How do I prolong the duration of some color on my cheeks?

Yeah, I love this site too...

Well, Mishti....does your skin oily?... if that so maybe that's the problem. Make up cannot last long enough on oily skin. So, u must wear oil free formula under your make up, this will help to normalize your skin so make up won't vanish easily . Use powder blush not cream blush, cream texture won't get along with oily skin. But if your skin dry, cream texture is the best. U can also wear cream blush first, then put powdery blush after it, this will also help.

Yes, my skin is oily. I will definitely try that oil-free formula under my makeup. THanks for the help rinda.

Did you know that rubbing ice over face before applying foundation makes makeup stay for long.

Besides using oil-free formula you may also do the following.
After applying blusher, dust with pressed powder. Now pat a damp cotton wool ball to set the color on your cheeks. This will make the color last longer

Powder blush often needs to be reapplied to maintain its fresh color. You can also try using a cream blush or "dry" lipstick as blusher.

In addition, cheek stains work very well.

Here, here. I love stains, both lip and cheek!

One other technique for longer lasting blush. Layer a powder over a cream and blend well...use your fingertips or a foundation brush to tap the powder into the cream.

i read in a magazine that if you put moisturizer before putting blush on it absorbs it and it stays on for less but with me its the opposite. my trick with blush is actually that: to apply moisturizer before and i also use cotton wool to apply it (even though i use powder blush) that way i think you get a better texture.
