Default Blue Eyeshadow: Your Opinion?

So, I know people that think blue eyeshadow is a thing of the past and prefer it to be that way.

And I also know people that still think blue eyeshadow is wearable and wear it all the time.

What do YOU think?

I personally think, it depends.
I don't like matte sky blue eyeshadow, I like softer blues with shimmer or metallic reflections in them or something along those lines but they don't suit everyone. So it also depends on the person.

In the words of my friend ''Blue eyeshadow: It was a good idea at the time, but you've just got to move on'' haha.

I think it depends on the shade of blue.

There are a lot wearable blue shadows out there now, with cool variations on shades, textures and hues.

The way you use it say's volumes, right now with the smoky eye look the deep blue's can carry it off easily.

A creamy light blue looks fine to me but the dark powder version looks really cheap to me.

I love shimmery blues on darker-skinned women. I like soft matte turquoise-y blues on red-heads. And I often use navy-smokey blue as a liner for brown eyes.

Other than that, blue is one of those eye shadow colors that I tend to shy away from. Unless blue shadow is applied with the greatest sublety and blended very well, it can look cheap; of course, it depends on your coloring and what other make-up you wear with it.
