i saw advertised in a magazine a chanel lip balm available in two colours, but when i went to the nearset chanel counter, the sales rep had no idea bout it!
has ne1 else seen it around or hav i lost it!?!? *Nicky* xxxxxxxxx ![]() |

i knw! she was half asleep, i was lyk well do u knw if its guna come out soon, and she was lyk im not sure i havent herd ov it.
so i think i will go on the chanel website and hav a look for myself! in uk sales reps are mostly stroppy! wen i was on holiday in canada they were so happy and willing to help!!! |

yeah.....here, some of them really helpfull but some of them doesnt really care of what they sell......Sometimes they just don't know their new products.....while everyone who reads magazine n browse the website must have known the latest issue........
OK.....I think it is better to look it by your self now......good luck ![]() |

some sales reps don't care....here in singapore..they'll purposely ignore you -_-
well maybe you want to try other counters instead? or wait for it to arrive...if it hasn't |

In Canada here, most fashion and beauty magazines are from the US and thus their cosmetic ads reflect that.
So when new products are launched, Canada gets them 6 months later. The reason is: "Economic Demographics" based on "Population Density" A global company takes a look at their sales #'s in a particular region (country) and that dictates how and when to launch new products into that region vs another region. Example: The US has 295,734,134 people. (July'05) and Canada, 32,805,041 people (July'05). Clearly, the US has more of a potential money maker for a company, so they'll launch there first and well... Canada... last. And sometimes not even the same products! And unfortunately, only the regional Reps know when the launches happen and they don't tell their sales associates until a week before it hits stores. So don't be too harsh with your sales associates. They'll get the product, they just don't know when they'll get it. So just hold onto those magazine ads and well... Pray for a quick arrival ![]()

yes vogueboy.....here's the same......when I saw a new product on internet.....it means that I have to wait a few month to get to Indonesia
.....n I know that regional reps don't tell their sales associates until a week before it hits stores (my aunt works in an international brand). But I wonder why they don't look their company web, at least once every month, too see if there's a new product.......I think they'll look more smart n up to date in front of their costumersI never mean to be harsh, I understand that not everyone especially sales associates r into internet n fashion magazine (though maybe some of them r into this) since sales associates don't get high education n earn many (but that is here in Indonesia, Im sure it different in another country. U know.....It's hard to earn money here.....we r not a rich country .....we r workin on that), n usually people who use internet n read fashion magazine in Indonesia had higher education n earn more (I wish everyone r familiar to internet).....but sometimes I really like if they know more about new issues on their field... |

Perhaps that their heads are already full of existing product knowledge which they're trying to sell to customers. However this doesn't give them an excuse not to try. And yes, customers then come to the counter more informed than they are... My guess is that some, not all, sales' associates are just there to get a paycheque and to watch the clock...
