Unhappy Foundation help needed!!

Is it ok to wear foundation and powder when you have really bad skin? It covers it well, but it also blocks pores and makes it worse!! Any tips?

Buy a foundation that is formulated to your skin type, you might have to spend a little more on it but its well worth it. (same with powder)
Also get a foundation base i.e moisturizer that will base your foundation from absorbing into your skin. If you have oily skin go with a matte base on all above. Let me Know.

hmmm.....there was a time when I really had a bad skin.....I had many pimples....I tried to cover it but Im not satisfied, becoz it looked so rough.....so I decided to medicate my skin first, n during the medication I never wear makeup, just loose powder, becoz my derm didn't allowed me to wear the pressed one.....now, if I feel my skin is tired n dull n lifeless or had a bit pimples....I absolutely stay away from makeup(unless I have a date ).....I let my skin to take a rest while I tried to give it more supplies by using the receipes I've got here or treating my pimples (if I have any)....n in few days I will be able to wear makeup again

n I thought that it would be better if u dont use any makeup when u have skin problems like pimple or anything that can be worse becoz of makeup aplication unless we have a special occasion to go n u really need to look the best....n if occasionally u wanna wear make up....use the one that non-irritating, non-acnegenic....and other non-blablabla things , n suitable for your skin type, n dont forget to clean it...n maybe u can wear tinted moisturizer.....it wont be too heavy for your skin n it's enough to give a sheer camouflage.....

I don't think foundation makes your skin worse. I actually think it makes my skin healthier in some weird way.

A tinted moisturizer is the last thing your skin could handle. It has too many oils and will make your skin ever worse. (It is basically a foundation with a heavy moisturizer in it) these are normally worn by women that have dry or normal skin. Pls don't add to you problems.

You should apply your concealer (with a small, synthetic-haired brush--a lip brush will do the trick) AFTER you apply your foundation. Before you apply your foundation, though, try applying a thin layer of Joey NY's Pore Minimizing Serum. This serum will prevent further breakouts, hydrate your skin without being at all oily/greasy and will prevent shiny skin.
