Default makeup dilemma

So... i have been using my regular skin care routine which has always worked for me and i don't see a problem with it because my skin is fine...But when i apply my liquid foundation(yes with a brush), which usually gives me a fresh, sheer, clean look, it just looks nasty...It kind of moves around and looks splotchy. Any suggestions to prevent this?

Sounds like you're using too much foundation on your brush.

Try this technique, this should solve your dilemma.

Put your foundation on a palette, usually a slightly warm metal or ceramic tile palette.

Just work a small amount of foundation onto the tip of the brush on the one side of the brush.

Use a "patting" motion to apply, DO NOT use 'painting' or 'brushing' strokes... You'll end up applying too much product and you'll get fine 'brush streaks' on your foundation.

If you happen to apply to much foundation, flip the brush over and use the tip again, by using the 'patting' method again, to go over the area to sheer out the excess foundation.

In other words: Apply on one side of the brush and blend with the other side.

Set your foundation with powder using a puff in 'pat and roll' technique.

If you press and pull or rub the puff, you're taking off your foundation...

Good luck and let us know.

Yeah, foundation does tend to get thicker as it gets older. Might be time to buy some new foundation.
